Despite a red flag at the mid-point of the qualifying session, Kody Garland has scored pole for Round 5 of the Battery World Aussie Racing Car Super Series at Symmons Plains.
Garland set a scorching pace in chilly conditions to better the fastest time from practice on a 1m 00.940s to lead the Osborn’s Motorsport entry of Joel Heinrich by 0.115s.
Rookie Cup leader Mason Harvey continued his impressive recent qualifying form to be third in the Corish Motorsport entry just 0.250s off the pace.
Riskie Racing’s Brandon Madden and title contender Cody Brewczynski for Western Sydney Motorsport routed out the top five.
Guardian Interlock Services/Motorsport25’s Reece Chapman, Ryan Reynolds for Jascott Civil/Reynovate Constructions, Corish Motorsport teammates Andrew Corish and Jordan Freestone, while completing the top 10 was Gold Cup leader Scott Dornan in the Action Line Marking entry.
Masters Cup leader Kent Quinn just missed the top 10, but led the class in the Norganic Proteins Mustang from Cody Mckay and Scott O’Keefe for MSS Group.
Gold Cup continued to be led by Dornan from Matt Gooding for Property Compliance Australia and the Mable entry of Emma Clark.
The Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series continues tomorrow with the opening race at 9:30am AEST broadcast live on Kayo and Foxtel.
