A massive field of 40 will feature in the final round of the 2024 Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series season as part of the ever-popular Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
Three drivers enter the season finale as the main contenders with just two-points separating the trio in a title fight that will go right down to the wire.
It will be the first time since 2019 the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series has raced on the Gold Coast making for a degree of unpredictability entering the event.
Reigning Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series winner Joel Heinrich for Osborn’s Transport leads by just a solitary point over Kody Garland in the MTA NSW-backed entry. Rounding out the leading three is Cody Brewczynski for Western Sydney Motorsport, who is just another point behind.
Brewczynski may have won the last race at Phillip Island over a recovering Garland, but it was the reigning series winner who took out the round overall - elevating him to outright top spot.
While the overall title is yet to be decided, the classes have been already sealed.
With just 25 points on offer for the round victor, Masters Cup Champion-elect Kent Quinn currently holds a 30-point advantage over Cody McKay, while Scott Dornan has dominated Gold Cup and enjoys a 36-point lead over Riskie Racing’s Joseph Andriske.
In the Rookie Cup standings, Mason Harvey leads Corish Motorsport teammate Jordan Freestone by 31 points after an impressive maiden campaign in the category.
A few returnees will be welcomed back on the Gold Coast led by Diesel Express driver Kyle Ensbey, Courtney Prince for Corish Motorsports in addition to the Black Diamond Building and Construction entry of Steve Jakic.
One to miss a few rounds this season is Anthony DiMauro. Re-joining the field driving the Koan Solutions/Crete & Works Co entry, DiMauro is sure to shake up the established frontrunners as he has done at various stages already this season.
Category owner Tony Quinn will race on the Gold Coast as will Scott Taylor to further add to the storylines of the weekend to come.
The popular Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series returns to support the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 on October 25-27.
