Converting practice pace to pole position was Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series leader Joel Heinrich in what was a tight qualifying session at Symmons Plains.
Heinrich’s two title pursuers Josh Anderson and Reece Chapman for Team CoolDrive will be in close attendance after qualifying just behind as just seven-points separate the trio heading into this weekend.
Masters Cup leader Kent Quinn continued his fine form in the Norganic Proteins Mustang to be fourth ahead of Rookie Cup contender Rylan Gray in fifth from Ryder Quinn in the Black Diamond Building and Construction Mustang.
Western Sydney Motorsport’s Craig Thompson followed in the lead of Gold Class, but key rival Matt Gooding lines up alongside for PCA/MGR Racing.
Rookie Brandon Madden in his Riskie Racing Camaro was ninth ahead of Cody McKay, who improved from 12th to round out the top 10.
Gray, Quinn and Madden rounded out the top three in Rookie Class, with the next best being Action Line Marking’s Scott Dornan in 14th.
In Masters Cup, Quinn leads an improved Grant Thompson out of 12th in the Western Sydney Motorsport Mustang and Andrew Lorgelly for Muscle Motor Trimmers.
While Gold Class was led by Craig Thompson inside the top 10,Gooding will be in close proximity as will James Ward in 11th for ASAP Marketing and Jeff Watters in the Fight MND Mustang.
Four races are to follow at Symmons Plains for the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series, with the first to start at 10:20am AEST tomorrow.
